I'M BACK! With Lots to Say....

Yes, it really has been months since I've updated my blog. To say I've been a bit wrapped up in my own little world would be an under-statement. I cannot tell you how excited I am to get back to normal!

I've been wrapped up in 2 major areas for the past several months. One was The Topeka Passion Play, which I was proud to be a part of, and will share more about later...
The other is this:

We put the house we've lived in for 13 years on the market in the beginning of November. And it sold within 90 days! We had about 9 weeks before we closed; at our request, to begin the hunt for our new house, negotiate its purchase and close on it. We completed the last of this last Tuesday!
I didn't talk much about this process to anyone over the past couple months because it stressed me out beyond belief and I had a weird psychotic need to not jinx it... But we're here now, moved in, unpacked and our name is on the deed, so I'm thinkin' it's safe!
Our new house is only a little over 3 blocks away from our old one, but meets our needs so much better! Our old house was just too, too small for our family plus the daycare. Our home now has rooms for each kids, and a nice, big area we can use for a 2nd living space/office/daycare area!
Here's a little bit about the house:

The front of our house.

My kitchen.

My Dining Room (What's missing; ah yes - Furniture... Wait for more pics Friday after it arrives on Thursday!)

Living Room (also missing furniture (south wall))
Living Room (north wall)
Spencer's Room
Chloe's Room (her very first room of her own!)
Our Room (note the absence of all my stamp stuff!)
Family Room/Daycare Room (west wall) Yes, there is dark panelling as a tribute to the 70s in this room. We will be painting that at some piont to lighten it up... But not for a while because I am, quite frankly, tired of working on houses and it works for now...
Family Room/Daycare Room (east & south walls)
Stamp "Nook"/Office (north and east walls)
Tyler's Room (in the "bonus room" in the basement - she's in heaven! - note the skulls...)

The backyard from downstairs patio door...

Today is my first day back with the daycare since we moved last week and went through the frenzy of getting set up enough to work. I'm not anywhere close to done, but it's livable and workable.... The kids and I have had a great day! They gotten reacquainted with each other and with their favorite toys today as I was closed for a whole week (for the first time ever!) for the move. They've really had fun playing outside on the patio! They can actually ride the bikes and drive the cars without getting stuck in the grass! Hooray!
While they played outside, I fiddled around with a little project I've wanted to do since I knew I had this deck over my patio. In the best movie ever, Mamma Mia, to decorate for a wedding, they hung these great jar candle holders from beaded wires in trees. I'm making a few similar candle holder jars for under my deck! The kids tell me they are bootyful....
I promise, from this point on, to be a better blogger and I look forward to sharing more fun about me, my family, my daycare and my stamp business!
