At Long Last...

We are getting back into the swing of our routine and pre-school projects as the holidays and snow days have all wrapped up! We are all enjoying our first "normal" week in a while! We did sneak in a little learning between my last day of my holiday vacation and the snow days last week!

B working hard on a picture!

We introduced the letter R and played with ribbons.

We started talking about snow and snowflakes with some fun snow art!

Miss M - painting pretzels for her pretzel snowflake...

A pretzel snowflake blizzard!

Our coffee filter snowflakes and sparkly snow storms!

This week, so far, has been a lot of fun as we continue with our snow discussions. It's perfect because this week, we also introduced the letter S! The big kids are having lots of fun - and doing a great job - thinking of words that start with the letter S. I have been Super impressed! Snow, Stars, Stick, Snow, SnowMan, Sparkly, Slimy, Snake, Stop, Statue, and Smile have all been vocabulary words that we've gotten to work with these past couple of days!

Look - the Star Sticks!

Miss K hard at work...

Two of the big girls working on their starry S's...

B fingerpainting with shaving cream and glue to look like Snow!

And the big girls making their snow...

Frozen like Statues!

Crawling like Snakes!

Awww - Smiling! And almost everyone at once!

Today we also practiced counting to the number 11 by decorating and counting 11 Sparkly Stars!

11 Sparkly Stars!

S is for Snowman, and Stars (and soooo much more!)

I'm excited to see what all the rest of the week holds for us and even more excited to know that there is no more real snow in the forecast this week! Whoo Hooo!
