A Day in the Garden

Our kids, as anyone who knows them knows, are bug lovers. So, the first thought their grandparents had after seeing an exhibit of huge bug sculptures at Powell Gardens just outside Kansas City was, "the kids have got to see this," and they treated us to a day in the Garden...

We wanted to hit the same time as their Butterfly Festival so we could enjoy that as well. Sunday was the last day of the festival, so we pushed the to-do list aside, hopped in the car and headed out.

It was a beautiful day - so much more pleasant than had we gone when it was 105! We checked out all the cool sculptures.

















We enjoyed watching lots of butterflies.













And most of all, we had fun and enjoyed being together.
