We've been exploring snow for the past couple weeks. Today we shifted gears, just slightly, to begin learning about ice!
We talked about igloos and made these adorable marshmallow igloos!
To see the process of turning liquid to ice, we filled a quart bag about half-full of juice. We placed the juice bag inside a gallon bag, added ice cubes and ice cream salt. Everyone then took a turn shaking the bags.
After everyone got a chance to shake it, 5 or 10 minutes later, the juice had turned to slush! Very cool! (Get it, cool - cold - ice?!)
